My problem with the fic is that there was no warning that it was going to be dark and creepy. The prompt made me think I was going to get a serious discussion about consent or something fluffy. In fact, there has been a France/Canada fill with this exact same prompt, and that was cute and romantic. I wouldn't think twice about the fic if there had been an AN first saying it was going to be dark.

the prompt was "surprised when their partner takes “no” for an answer", isn't that enough to point out that this might be a pretty unhealthy dynamic? and honestly i'd expect "noncon kink" way more than "a serious discussion about consent"

Honestly, no. If a prompt says "France takes no for an answer", then I'm expecting something that is extra healthy and was written in response to the "France is a rapist, lol" people in fandom.

This fill was put under the anything goes request. Maybe for that reason.
