on my little boat on the meme! How was your weekend, meme? Good, I hope! I am LOVING these updates, by the way! I feel like it's Christmas! But in October and November! It's really refreshing to have new material and it kinda feels like a ~rejuvenation~ in the fandom! Well... anywho!

what do you mean by 'anthem' as opposed to just a 'song'

The term anthem means either a specific form of Anglican church music (in music theory and religious contexts), or more generally, a song (or composition) of celebration, usually acting as a symbol for a distinct group of people, as in the term "national anthem".

The French and Russian (including the Imperial and the original Soviet ones) anthems are my all-time favorites, but I like Germany's, Ireland's, and Japan's anthems a lot, too.
