well not REALLY a debate more like. people suddenly complaining how small yuri is compared to yaoi, yaoi being all over the place and pushing yuri out, no one taking yuri seriously or something. like those kind of things.

Something with the rough premise of The Proposal - that movie in a guy marries his boss so she won't get deported to Canada (not because he wants to, either - she pressures him into it and offers him some promotion in return I think? I've forgotten).

But from that point, the plot should diverge from the movie and go with whatever makes sense with the personalities of the two characters involved. Because they're living in the same place to keep up the pretenses, they end up clashing a lot but also learning more about each other and end up falling in love.

Is this connected to that "year of yuri" thing?

Because initially I thought, hey, cool! But if this is the basic premise (yaoi is "pushing yuri out") then :|

Italy and Romano in a Hetalia version of the Strega Nona story. They have a magic pasta pot from their grandpa, which will make endless pasta.

But due to their carelessness, or forgetting part of the instructions, they can't stop the pasta pot and it creates more and more pasta until the whole city is in danger.

I'm imagining this as a parody set of illustrations with text, in the style of the picture book

I saw it on my dash a couple of times. Something about how 2013 was the year of Luigi and now it's the year of yuri (no I don't understand that either).

I'm definitely cool with more yuri and I thought it was a cute idea but I hate people acting all ~persecuted~ because they have a taste for something less popular, so if this is being framed as a backlash against yaoi being popular then I don't want anything to do with it.
