one of the people where i work has a really annoying loud laugh and it's especially hard to hear when i'm already exhausted and struggling to not give up /depressed anon

well not REALLY a debate more like. people suddenly complaining how small yuri is compared to yaoi, yaoi being all over the place and pushing yuri out, no one taking yuri seriously or something. like those kind of things.

Is this connected to that "year of yuri" thing?

Because initially I thought, hey, cool! But if this is the basic premise (yaoi is "pushing yuri out") then :|

I saw it on my dash a couple of times. Something about how 2013 was the year of Luigi and now it's the year of yuri (no I don't understand that either).

I'm definitely cool with more yuri and I thought it was a cute idea but I hate people acting all ~persecuted~ because they have a taste for something less popular, so if this is being framed as a backlash against yaoi being popular then I don't want anything to do with it.

so this pathetic blog went and posted in the tag about how ~wrong~ and ~horrible~ rape is in fic, as well as stating "a fact" about how "most" of the pairing fic is rapey and that this pairing is known as the rape pairing (??? since when??)

now, not everybody dislikes noncon fic *cough like me in fact I kinda really like it*, and their post was super preachy about people who do, basically implying that anybody who writes that stuff is wrong and it's not romantic and it's not okay

and I don't like being told that i'm as bad as a criminal.

I tried to explain to them that your kink is not my kink and that's okay, and if you want to get on a soapbox decrying all people who like noncon as basically rapists that's okay too so long as it stays in your fuckin blog, because your blog your rules, but could you please take your kink-shaming out of the tag, and not only did they answer me with immense patronizing, but they also put their answer back in the fuckin tag like the passive aggressive shitheads they are

I swear, I'm barely in that fandom but the little echoes of wank (which basically goes along those lines, people getting all up on their high horse about HDU LIKE THIS PAIRING IT'S BAD AND YOU'RE A BAD PERSON) makes me sometimes want to dive in and loudly ship Ereri and write tons of hard kink fanfic with noncon, abuse, brainwashing, and I can't think what else but lots of ~scandalous~ stuff. And I'll add the correct warnings but I will not once, not ever, get apologetic over this in the slightest increment. Because what rankles me most is that some people bend to pressure and start acting like they need to apologize for liking a pairing or a kink.

But, I can't work fast enough or with enough passion to do something like that just to prove a point.

But I sure wish I could.

It's not, actually, it's for Hetalia! BUUUUT I hear you on the massive amounts of Ereri hate going on right now... from what my dash is saying it seems like the entire SnK fandom is exploding right now with a massive amount of misplaced unnecessary drama.

This is where I shamefully admit I've never posted smut fic, not even vanilla. I'm just not very good at it, and tend to get stuck on it (insert "that's what she said" joke here). But I read so much smut and the dirtier the better.

Maybe I could anon message support to people who stand up against this shit and/or who keep trucking and post what they want to post and do the kinks or pairings they want to. That would be one way to be helpful without huge commitment to leaping into the wank or dragging it out longer.

I can't think of which pairing even fits this. I don't search tags, so I guess I will simply be glad that it's not on my dash. I remember unfollowing one of the bnfs over kinkshaming, wonder if she's involved this time around too.
