part 347 dimensions of sight and sound
and of mind. Do do do do do do do do do do do.
How was your end-of-December-into-January time, meme? Did you make any New Year's resolutions? Or light a candle in your window in the hopes that Himaruya would update again instead of leaving us behind like an 19th century light house keeper's wife whose husband has gone off to sea? ... Did you?
Enjoy part 347!

ooc tl;dr
for a full variety of reasons, too... though, my interest in anime/manga does play a big part in having introduced me to Japanese culture, I've always liked the thought of travelling, visiting "far-off countries" and learning more about them and the people who live there. I think part of that is due to watching many a Disney films as a child (Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, Aladdin, I'm looking at you) and having rarely traveled outside of Florida in general but yes.
Pokemon introduced me to the concept of anime/manga coming from Japan in general and Digimon introduced various places of Japan to me, too, because so much of the art/scenery in it is based on real locations - the whole of Odaiba in general, the Rainbow Bridge, the ferris wheel, Tokyo Tower, the Fuji TV station, "Heighton View Terrace", the "Hikarigaoka" subway station, even Kyoto was featured in Digimon briefly, and all were artistically based on and/or real locations in Japan. Those are all places I'd like to visit too, ahh...
Plus, ever since getting into fandom, even long before Hetalia, I've always held an interest in Japanese culture in general. The language, the mannerisms, the history, the architecture, the scenery, the fashion, the food, the sports, the festivals and the like, even the music, as of lately especially (looks at Vocaloid fandom, even)... Just. Someday, I'd really love the chance to at least visit Japan, just once. Meeting seiyuu and attending fandom events like concerts or promotion events, going to the Animate shop, Comiket, other cons there etc. would be huge bonuses, but I mainly want to go just to see Japan with my own eyes and briefly experience life there, and learn even more about it.
(Enoshima would be a great place to visit there too coughs... but really it looks like a beautiful place)
/hides now...
