…however, aside from the timing i don't mind the canon itself. makes sense, actually. still think he should've said just the candies and skipped the bit about the scones, though, because scones were seriously the go-to item for england to fuck up in fanon.

Seriously! A major plot point in a project I'm working on depends on England's scones sucking, and this canon pisses me off so much. Most people probably won't notice or care if I ignore this bit of canon, but it's still getting under my skin aaagh

i think you should go with the scones sucking - that part was in at least one strip (possibly more than one), whereas the new note about sweets only mentions scones in the list (i don't think they're even pictured)

i really suspect this is all because himaruya went and had a scone somewhere and liked it. dammit, himaruya.

we should bombard him with shitty scones to make him change his mind. we will send also the power and the hot people that he needs to fuel his work.

it was a note underneath the picture - which had england and america with some sweets, and america says something like 'these are surprisingly tasty'

and then the author's note beneath says that although england's cooking sucks, he is good at desserts such as [list of stuff, including scones and i think also trifles and tarts and candies?]
