And as it's - in Bob Ross's immortal words - my little world, let's say it's a victorian-ish AU in which certain persons with too much time and money and power (and certainly too little compassion) on hand amuse themselves with a very… exclusive form of horseracing, very private, with unwilling human horses...
And separate from that, I want something with a man desperately begging for his life - and attempts at negotiating, at reasoning, at appealing to any thread of empathy or morality or mutual self-interest - and breaking down in the middle of negotiations to beg brokenly, god how I love that.
