part 347 dimensions of sight and sound

and of mind. Do do do do do do do do do do do.

How was your end-of-December-into-January time, meme? Did you make any New Year's resolutions? Or light a candle in your window in the hopes that Himaruya would update again instead of leaving us behind like an 19th century light house keeper's wife whose husband has gone off to sea? ... Did you?

Enjoy part 347!

Just one! But it's really fluffy and thick and big. I have another you can have though!

It's on about 68 right now. I leave it on 66 during the day. How cold are you right now? ;3;

Aw, thanks! :'D I should go get the comforter from my bed - I'm wrapped in one of those fluffy throw things as I'm sitting at my desk.

When I was a kid, I hated how low my parents kept the temperature in winter and vowed to not be such a cheapskate when I grew up and lived on my own. Now I do live alone and… have grown up into even more of a cheapskate than my parents were. \o/

60 when I'm at work, 63 when I'm home - but I do have a space heater. (In my defense, this is a very old house with very old windows and if I were to put the heat any higher, the size of my energy bill would give me worse chills than the cold itself.)

Spring, spring, hurry up… what's your favorite season?

Oh yeah I turn it down when I'm at work even more but I could keep it down farther while actually you know here, but I'm a baby and am used to warmer weather. I don't think I can get my energy bill any lower unless I turn it off entirely and then my apartment complex would not like me.

I LOVE SPRING it's so nice, minus all the rain (and even that can be nice). Also it only lasts like two weeks here before it jumps to hot again. It's always fun seeing the random daffodils bloom alongside the highway and out in the middle of nowhere because they always signify where old houses once stood since they aren't native and don't spread haha.

What's your favorite season?

/brofist for cold hard penny-pinching!

I didn't know that about the daffodils! That's really cool. It's almost like it's marking the graves of dead and gone houses - but in a happy, not morbid way.

Spring is nice (mostly because it kicks winter's ugly melting ass away) but I think I love summer best! Long, long days, and the heat's not too bad where I am. Would be nicer without the bugs, but can't have everything. One day I'm going to move somewhere further south, that's warm all year round. What's your ideal climate?

Yep, and every year when I see a lonely clump of daffodils I mentally pause and wonder who planted them there and when. It's fun to pass the time when driving.

Somewhere not here. I think I'd like a place a little cooler, not much but at least seeing a flake of snow during the winter would be nice. I'd actually love to live in a mountainous area, I think they're so cool.

I love how long the days of summer are. It makes me feel so much more alive then the dead dark that comes along this time of year. All I want to do is curl up and watch flickering screens.

You can't escape bugs, never ever except maybe in Antarctica. At least there aren't tarantulas here, you talk about screaming.

I'd gladly donate some of our snow to you. It's pretty, sure, but uuurgh driving in it. And scraping ice off my windshield. (屮=﹏=)屮

I agree, mountains would be a nice change (I live in a boring mostly-flat part of the country, no inspiring views at all). I think I'd like to live in Middle Earth New Zealand, it looks like a place with a huge variety of beautiful landscapes, and I think it's supposed to be pretty warm.

And yes, the longer days definitely lift my spirits too.

Yeesh, I don't even want to think about Antarctica. I might hate bugs, but I'd sure rather deal with eight-legged neighbors than the cold!
