part 347 dimensions of sight and sound

and of mind. Do do do do do do do do do do do.

How was your end-of-December-into-January time, meme? Did you make any New Year's resolutions? Or light a candle in your window in the hopes that Himaruya would update again instead of leaving us behind like an 19th century light house keeper's wife whose husband has gone off to sea? ... Did you?

Enjoy part 347!

Which of the nations are still, in modern times, handiest with a sword?

Mmmmmmmh depends on what type of sword, I guess?

I wanna say Japan, China (& Hong Kong by extension), India and Korea. Everyone else is just horrible at it or has poked out an eye or two while trying to do so. I guess in France/Prussia/Spain case, they tried to do so to impress the ladies, but they just end up getting cockblocked by the other two for the lulz.

...now I'm just imagining France or Prussia or Spain standing there awkwardly holding a wad of napkins over the blood-spurting eye socket, trying to smooth things over and save the evening with a suave one-liner. But it is really hard to keep up the whole dashing ladies' man persona when they're loading you into an ambulance. (It's alright, dudes! It's not so hard to regrow an eyeball or two, and to outlive the various humans you've embarrassed yourselves in front of...)

China vs Japan swordfight: they both crack their backs at exactly the same moment. Melodramatic kungfu movie soundtrack plays as they topple in slow-mo, Hong Kong filming the whole thing with his smartphone...

Vuri

u r terrible and I can't stop laughing. They try to wink with the bad eye, and end up bleeding and passing out. Oh God, that's awful.

Meanwhile Japan and China crack their backs the moment they jump to land the first blow, and end up at the same hospital as France/Prussia/Spain while Hong Kong continues filming and making a movie.

Hospitals must hate them so much. I bet they do stupid shit like this pretty often (to be fair, if I were immortal I'd be happily reckless too). And by the time the ambulance hauls them in they've already woken up and finished regenerating and naturally these days the hospital staff are more inclined to suspect a prank before a miracle (though hey, better either of those than suspicion of witchcraft)...

Hong Kong just wants to keep the family close with these quaint little home videos. He's sending copies of the clip to alllll of China's provinces and most of Japan's and also Korea and Vietnam and whoever else he has in his phone. Asian unity (well, such as it is) is at least partially dependent on HK's dutiful reporting of China (and/or Japan, or Korea, or...) in embarrassing circumstances.

Awww I feel so bad for the hospital staff that has to put up with them. If they DO end up at the hospital, they end up getting more injuries because they thought that doing wheelchair races with the finish line being the stair would be a good idea.

Hong Kong's funniest videos: Everyone laughs except the person the video is about.

Tottering off to bed at last - good night! Thanks for chatting :)

Bad friends, bad ideas - great fun all around. Germany tried to book them in separate hotels during conferences for a while, but it never worked to impede the inevitable mayhem - just delayed it slightly.

And everyone wins, too! Except the person the video is about.

I can see HK showing Iceland a bunch of his family videos once and Iceland was like "...you need a better hobby." And then HK turned to him completely deadpan and said "You mean, like collecting dicks?"

Same here and likewise!<3

You'd think they wanted to sneak girls into the hotel room, but they where actually sneaking each other in.

Ooooh good burn, Hong!
