Let me start with saying I like all of the main cast/squad. EVERYONE IS FANTASTIC and I have legitimately flopped over and cried over how they are all simply so fucking amazing.

That said, I won't lie about the fact that I do have favourites. Ugh, this is so embarrassing because I like characters that I think the majority of fandom likes to rag on?? I hang out in very specific corners of the fandom for that reason, but. fjdkjfaja okay, I'll stop rambling and 'fess up. Favourites are Kaidan, Shepard (both, but slight preference for M!Shep, because he's such a dork, compared to Fem!Shep), Tali, Garrus, and Kasumi. However, I would also like to add that Wrex, Grunt, Mordin, Legion, and EDI are close behind. But I still like everyone else, too...! jfdkljfla; I am having all of the feelings again, jdkfjdkaj;

I loved this game. So much. I'm very disappointed in the ending but it was definitely my favorite game series of all time!

I see how you'd consider Kaidan a character fans rag on because yeah he pretty much is. I think it was the scene where you see him again in ME2 that got people annoyed with him.

Tali and Garrus and Kasumi I have to agree on but personally I liked Fem!Shep's voice acting better. Plus I played her so I'm biased.

Joker was my favorite though! I wish he was a love interest aaaaah. I actually saved one of my Shepards for him and was really disappointed in the end. At least EDI turned out to be a great character!

Same here. I can't think of another game series that has captured my attention and caused me to be so emotionally invested as this one. Definitely echoing the sentiment about the ending. It could have been worse, but I feel as though it could have been so much better, too. Disappointment is the best way to describe it, yes.

Good to know I wasn't completely disconnected! I lurk in very Virmire Survivor friendly areas of the fandom, so it confused me at first to find out about the sort of vitriol he and Ash can get, but the more I thought about it, the more I started to understand where the resentment came from. ME2 was a bad time for Virmire Survivor, indeed. However, part of the reason why I personally like Kaidan so much is that I feel he tried his best to genuinely apologise and make amends in the last game. That aside, though, I can still see why he gets ragged on.

I have so many feelings about Tali and Garrus and Kasumi, I can't even. Begin to wholly describe all the reasons why I like them so much. And in regards to Fem!Shep, it's all good! I find that most people prefer her voice acting, which is totally cool. I'll admit, M!Shep's voice acting was probably not as good, objectively speaking. Fem!Shep is just too badass in that way.

While I wouldn't have romanced him, dammit, I am of the firm belief that he ought to have been a love interest! It would have been really cool if he had been! jfkdjfl;ajd;j
