I do remember reading that coaches were required to be naked just like the athletes after a certain coach was revealed to be secretly female under her cloak, but citation needed on that too.

It's kind of tough reconciling Mama Greece with her culture's misogynistic tendencies, it can be played for drama or you can just say "she's a special case, deal with it" like with a lot of the other female countries with awkward women's rights records. I also like playing with the idea that Mama G was a kind of Athena-like figure to her people who met her, female but without the prejudices they would usually attach.

Incidentally, back before I knew the mamas existed, I scribbled out ancient greece and egypt ocs and they were definitely male :'D
