yes, sometimes i read a fic and feel like 12 year old me wrote it

the sort of 'something didn't go as i pleased so obviously EVERYONE HATES ME and THEY'RE SO MEEEAAN' type rationale that, let me admit, i remember having in adolescence

the nations frequently behave immaturely, one could say, but i don't think any of them have this mentality or this kind of vulnerability - or, most of all, this kind of dependence. they are, as they should be, quite capable of doing their own thing.

I don't think not running to the conference's rooftop to cry your eyes out when the person you like talks to someone else is exactly super-mature and collected.

Did you not read my comment or what? Yes that's melodramatic but you are implying that teenagers are these emotional wrecks while adults are 100% got their shit together.

Teenagers typically tend to be more melodramatic than adults, though. It's not true across the board for every person, and there certainly are equally immature adults (I've had the misfortune of dating one), but I think most people would agree that they were more emotionally volatile during their teenage years.
