part 347 dimensions of sight and sound
and of mind. Do do do do do do do do do do do.
How was your end-of-December-into-January time, meme? Did you make any New Year's resolutions? Or light a candle in your window in the hopes that Himaruya would update again instead of leaving us behind like an 19th century light house keeper's wife whose husband has gone off to sea? ... Did you?
Enjoy part 347!

Course, 's cute! Just have to watch out for one of the kiddos nicking it.
[Waves his hand at that explanation.]
Just teasin' ya, guessed it was. It would be, don't let me stop ya. And wine's always welcome, but don't think I could eat a whole shark. Or fit it on the grill...
[Unless...now he's starting to get ideas, that's always dangerous.]
no subject
Ah, right. Do you not have some table for all the presents?
[nods and hands over the bottle] Maybe you have not tried wine from my house yet?
Shark on the.... that might be the marine answer to those roasted pigs or piglings,
but I doubt it can be prepared the same way.
[notices something else]...But on the other hand sausages fresh from the barbecue grill are also good.
[Doesn't know about these potential dangers yet.]

Ah, yeah, just over there? I'll take 'em over in a sec so I don't lose them!
[Takes a look at the label with an appreciative eye.]
Haven't, but looks good! Always nice to try somethin' new.
[It probably won't be as good as his, but he might be a little biased with that. For now he puts the bottle and the cow down with the other presents.]
Nah, probably have to do it like steak or tuna! Was that a suggestion that ya might like some too?
[Fortunately asking him to get something from the grill is a good distraction. For now at least.]
no subject
Oh, okay. No need to hurry.
[nods and smiles] Hopefully you will like it.
Many tend to overlook it, just because it is made in...
in smaller quantities.
My knowledge is a bit limited to freshwater fish, but you can always figure it out some time.
Hm? [Was he eyeing the sausages too obviously.
It's too cold to have a barbecue at his own place, so it looks pretty inviting.]
If food is ready, I would not be averse to trying some of it?

Just because it's more of a niche in ya house, doesn't make it unworthy. Not everyone's got the space for millions of vines!
[He does, but his climate doesn't always lend itself to much more.]
That'll be my next project then, if it's good I'll let ya know!
[Beware his iron stomach though! Maybe it was a little obvious, but he doesn't mind. He's cooking food so people can eat it after all!]
Yeah, think some of them should be ready by now!
[Picks up his tongs and flips some bits over before picking out some sausages that look about done and putting them on a plate.]
Some cutlery over by the salad if ya want it!
no subject
Uh, what? It... it is not really just a niche, but...
um, well you know... house sizes... figuratively speaking... never mind.
[He doesn't want to say something like "Regrettably my house is too small
to produce the amount of wine that I wish it could.", even if it's the truth.]
I did not know that you were an amateur chef or planning to be one?
[If it doesn't turn out so well, he'll just add some beans and potatoes, that always worked for him.]
Merci villmols, thank you! [Happily takes the plate and tries not to mentally drool.]
Sure, maybe I get some salad as well.
[Time to get the cutlery and to dig in.]
no subject
Well, compared to countries that have it as a major industry.
[Maybe he could rent land somewhere else?]
More like I'll try anythin' once! And more if it's any good!
[Name a land animal that lives in his house and he's probably eaten it at some point. Kangaroo can be pretty tough!]
Enjoy!
[If he gets the salad, it'll be helpful because nobody else has really touched it yet. It's that kind of crowd! For now he stick with the grill for a little longer.]
