while I myself scan images from books/etc, I must point out that, well, it is still infringing on copyright even with credit (which the blog doesn't always give and the owner seems to be whinging because baww people want them to note what books and what artists the images are from) and authors are well within their rights to report it

oh, i don't disagree that authors are within their rights to do that.

but what i'm saying is, if this starts getting enforced, and that is still an "if" at this point, quite a lot of blogs will be affected. so save what you want now.
