Were there...?

[Hell, he doesn't pay attention to what's in front of him half the time, if there were more here in the past he must have glazed over them totally, and as it is he's not even really sure what he's looking for]

Okay then, you can lead the way where you remember! Maybe we'll find somewhere else nice along the way if they're gone~

[He'll just be backseat driving, keeping warm hands on her shoulders to keep pushing forward, but paying more attention to what's around them than that, keeping an eye out for nice looking nap spots]

[ He's always warm, like that sunkissed olive skin was made to radiate heat all the time. Sigh. Stupid Spain. ]

[ She leads him on, letting him follow, feeling annoyed but it's Spain so he gets a pass like he always does. ]

Do you even know what we're looking for?

... A place to nap? I dunno, if it's from Japan maybe it's a tiny room. Is it big enough for us both?

[Shrugs, really he doesn't care as long as it's somewhere comfortable, and as long as he's got someone else to nap with even that isn't so important]

[Relaxes his grip on her shoulders once she takes the lead, coming up along side her but keeping one of those arms draped across her shoulders. Purely platonic affection, of course, but then she's already got to be used to him being touchy]

[ Too used to him being touchy... the one who's not used to it is Netherlands and he's nowhere to be seen. ]

It's not a room. It's a small table with a heater underneath and a thick blanket draped over it. They're cozy enough but we've gotta find one.

[ Maybe around this corner? No... ]

[Squints a little at her description, trying to imagine such a thing. Sounds weird, but not uncomfortable, works for him]

So we're gonna sleep together under a table?

[Maybe he could have phrased that better. Oh well, at least Netherlands isn't around. But hey, that sounds simple enough]

Then why don't we just find a blanket and a table, it's the same thing, right?

[ If only he were... then he'd have a nice cozy bed in a hospital somewhere. ]

I-I suppose so.

[ Not really but with another person I suppose that makes the heater element. ]

But if that's the case why not just a fluffy carpet or a couch?

[It sounds close enough to him anyway, but now she's mentioned tables and carpets and couches really don't fit the bill for that at all]

It has to be under something to be a costu, right? So it's gotta be a table! But there's lots more of those around, we just gotta find a blanket first~

[Though that simplifies things, he knows where to find blankets. So now he's back to pushing her in the right direction, gentle enough but pretty insistent]

[ Of course in this kind of situation she just kinda goes with him, letting him lead her now. ]

It's kotatsu. Ko-tot-su.

That's what I said, right?

[He'll be leading them right to a bedroom, turns out, only a short distance away. Which would probably make a better spot for a nap than under a table, but instead of looking like he's ready to settle down he just goes to strip the blankets from the bed once they arrive]

Co-sat-su.

[ She blinks when she realizes that they're in a bedroom. ]

Ah, Spain... why don't we just take a nap here?

[He looks confused enough that it's a good bet he never considered actually napping in a room. They're supposed to be under something for this whole kotatsu thing to work, right]

... You mean under the bed?

[Well, that doesn't sound too bad either, maybe. He'll just duck down low then to glance under, checking if there might be enough space]

It might be tight though! You don't mind if it's not a table?

[ lmfao Spain you are something else. ]

I mean we can take a nap ON the bed.

[He's just expecting something different from a usual nap now, and this seems pretty ordinary... Well, true enough it does sound more comfortable]

[Piles the blankets back on the bed, shrugging]

Ah, I guess Japan doesn't do it too different after all... Alright then, we'll stay here~

[Just give him a second to start slipping out of his shirt, then. Hope she didn't expect him to nap fully clothed]

No it's just-- [ Sigh. ] The Japanese still nap in beds too.

[ And now he's taking off his clothes. Again, nothing she hasn't seen before-- but she hasn't seen it in a while so her eyes might be lingering on him juuuuust a bit. ]

Still can't sleep in a shirt, huh?

No reason to if you don't have to, right? It's better to feel the air!

[As if he'll notice any lingering. By the time he's undressed enough for comfort he turns back with a bright grin, flopping back on the bed and sliding back to make himself comfortable, patting at a spot next to him to welcome her up too]

Ay, it's been a long time since we got to nap together, hasn't it... It'll feel like old times now.

Yeah, I'm sure.

[ If she tried taking off her shirt right now, eyes.gif would be everywhere. ]

Yeah, I guess it does.

[ She toes off her shoes before climbing up onto the bed with him, shaping the pillows before flopping down onto them with a sigh. ]

[At least he's not pushing for any more nudity, though maybe that's only because he's comfortable enough so now it's out of mind]

[Turns on his side to glance over when she's settled, stretching out before dropping one of his hands to pat at her head, affectionate if maybe a little unintentionally patronizing. Whether she's actually tired or not, he's easy to rest, and he's yawning before long, trying to talk through it]

Hey, when we wake up let's go get a drink or something- for my birthday! I'll even make it my treat~

[ Patronizing indeed. She's about to reach out and smack him before she realizes that omg, it IS his birthday isn't it.

She sighs softly, how could she forget such an important day? ]

Yeah. We can do that.

[ She shifts a little, curling into his side for a cuddle. ]

I'll pay though.

[Well that's why she's here, isn't it? She doesn't need to worry too much, of course he's gone and assumed she came by to chat because of his birthday anyway]

[Though he's smiling wider at the acceptance, letting her scoot closer and dropping the patting hand down over her shoulder, nice and relaxed and comfortable right up close]

Alright alright, at least the first round. Then we'll see...

[And he's crashing, out like a light in only a few short minutes at least for the next few hours]

[ Dear, sweet Spain... he could never have a bad thought about anyone. She's always loved that about him and hated him for it all at the same time. It leaves him vulnerable but he's not weak or stupid, contrary to popular belief.

She smiles a little, realizing that he's already fallen asleep and she sighs, holding him close and pressing a kiss to his cheek, wishing him a quiet Happy Birthday to him before she's dozing off beside him. ]
