part 348 candles in the lighthouse window
Hey meme! How are you doing? What is up? Do you also have a candle lit in your window for the return of Himaruya? like anon who is a light house wife! I hope he returns from the sea soon, with stories of adventure and sea monsters and the life outside the island. Ah, Himaruya. Safe journeys. Safe... journeys.
Enjoy part 348!

Nah, that'd be boring mate! Gotta have some excitement, else ya'd just sit there doin' nothing and that ain't on!
[Apart from when it comes to paying his taxes.]
Sad? Nah, it's honourable for a younger brother to give homage to his betters by buying them beer. Chop chop!
[He'd never but that doesn't mean he wouldn't expect it.]
/Mun/ Is he being too snobbish to you? I feel like he is... eek.
But there are plenty of other healthy alternatives than that, you know. Suppose you could always brush up on your manners yes? You always act like too much of a brute. [Hutt, no, no.]
[Ahem.]
Would it kill you to say please? [My, my, are we being the big shot?]
I don't think so, he is terribly lacking in manners after all!
Healthy alternatives...oh, did ya want to go hunting for crocs too? We can do some wranglin' on the way, ya'll love it! Put some hair onto ya chest, ya too soft these days!
[It's a bit of a taunt back but mainly he's excited. Deadly animals are the most fun to play with. This time will surely convince Hutt River.]
Stranger things have happened, best not chance it!
/Mun/ Australia isn't lacking in manners. Manners are terribly lacking Australia.
[Crocodiles? Um - ]
No, I do not wish to wrestle some crocodiles. I'd like to live, thank you very much. You however can go have fun getting your limbs torn off.
[But to be honest, he's never seen his brother wrangle before. So maybe he should tag along. Just to see how it's done.]
manners? is that a food?
Don't want to-
[Squints at suspiciously. This is the kind of talk that makes him wonder if they're really related sometimes. Those eyebrows seal the deal though, because that's some bum luck otherwise.]
Ah, c'mon, ya'll love it. There's only a twenty-five percentage chance they'll go for ya arm anyway! Doesn't hurt that much either.
[Please let him show off his skills, it might just come in handy to know how to handle one, and surely that comment is very reassuring, right? Right.]
/Mun/ Idk, I tried to be funny but whomp whamp
[It's rude to squint, mind you. Not everyone's gun-ho about writhing with reptilians. Say all you want, at least he can look fashionable with his. When was the last time the brunet had has cleaned? Never, most likely.]
Twenty-five? And that's supposed to convince me?
[Then again, this continent is teeming with creatures only Satan could conjure up...]
the eyebrow line made me laugh!
Lower than seventy-five, think that's pretty good to me!
[That's the chance of him losing another limb, of course, but he won't mention that just yet.]
'sides, about time ya learnt how to deal with critters when they get all excitable! Never know when one day ya might need to rescue a fit bird from peril. [Sniffs.] Or a princess or whatever kind of lady ya want to rescue from crocs.
[Let him flatter your ego.]
/Mun/ mission accomplished
I'm still not terribly convinced. [Couldn't they do something more tamer? Australia could help him with the harvest - ]
[Wait - ]
Oh? You do have a point. [Though he wonders what kind of fair maiden would get themselves on the wrong side of a crocodile.]
[Regardless, flattery is permitted.]
no subject
[Harvesting? He swore he gave up that stuff after becoming a Commonwealth, herding's much more exciting. Maybe if there's some emus that need to be rounded up...]
See, why would ya ever doubt me? [Don't answer that.] Gotta back up ya aspirations to princehood with some welly!
[Possibly a drunk maiden, there's lots of those around. Since there aren't any of those about at the moment too early for drunk anons, they'll just have to find a croc who's casually taking a nap somewhere. They have all sorts in this place!]
no subject
[Hey, harvesting is just as exciting as herding!]
Agreed. [Er, are we really going to disturb one while they sleep?]
no subject
[Until the wheat starts trying to escape while collecting it, he's not that interested, sorry bro.]
[Well, how else is it going to know they're here? Only fair to give it a fighting chance...]
[...If him sneaking up on it and reaching for its back while it's asleep is "fair", anyway. Better watch out for those teeth when it wakes up.]
no subject
[Hmph, your loss then dear brother.]
[This is not going to end well, is it?]
no subject
C'mon over and have a looksie, she's a beaut!
[She's certainly a big one anyway, and thrashing her tail a little as she starts to wake up.]
...Might wanna bring a stick too. [It'll be useful for both poking and as a distraction.]
no subject
Are you serious? [Tiptoes over with great caution.]
[Um, um, her tail's trashing. Does that mean she's annoyed or what? Looks about and grabs a thick one.]
Australia I swear to God -
no subject
[He nods in approval at that stick, still not really paying attention to that tail. It's more like she's thinking than anything else, though about what it's hard to say.]
No worries, got it all under-
[The crocodile decides at this point she's had enough, and lunges in Hutt River's direction before trying to get Australia away from her back.]
no subject
How can you say that with -
[He doesn't know where it went wrong but one minute the crocodile's being rather content and the next minute its lunging towards him.]
[Whoa, whoa!]
[Stumbles back and ends up falling flat on his back. Yikes, that's not very good.]
no subject
[As starting positions for wrangling go, flat on his back is not a good one but not beyond salvaging. Soon as he sees her go he tries to grab her and stop her from going any further. It works, sort of, in that she's trying to bite him now as he wrestles her.]
Right, time for ya to - bugger - shine!
no subject
[Sees her tail thrashing about and goes after that. It's not easy (he gets smacked right in the kisser, ouch) but he does manage to get a grip and keeps it tight against himself.]
[Never mind the blood he tastes, is he doing this right?]
noo I have to go to bed but continue tomorrow if meme hasn't maxed? I'm really enjoying it!
[Seeing Hutt River go for the tail after his hesitation is a relief. He'll save any jokes about a smack in the mouth being good for him until later, for now he's just focusing on getting a hold on her head as she thrashes about. When he gets enough of one he looks over.]
Good! Sure ya ain't do this before?
[This is the best sibling bonding ever! If he was drunk too, it'd be perfect.]
/Mun/ Sure, that's okay with me.
[Spitting some blood, he keeps the tail at his chest and even yanks when the crocodile tries to pull herself away.]
N-No... I haven't-! [Whoa, whoa, she's being even more feisty!]
[He'll have to admit; this is probably the best he's had with Australia so far. Of course.]
no subject
[That's a very manly way of dealing with that blood, he's impressed as he pins her head.]
Then ya must be a natural! Most first timers flee by now!
[While he's still holding onto her top half tight to stop her getting away, it's a lot easier as a two person job. And then an idea strikes.]
Fancy tryin' to lift her?
[They could totally do it, it'd look really ace.]
no subject
[The comment makes his chest swell with a bit of pride. He's not lying; Hutt's lasting longer than he'd expected he would. Also maybe he should take back what he said about this sort of activity earlier because - ]
A-Are you sure we can lift this? [He knows Australia can lift. He's seen the older brunet carry thick gumtree trunks like they were children's toys. So what he's really saying here is that 'I can't possibly lift this'.]
no subject
[That sounds more like a challenge to him than an expression of Hutt's doubts about his own strength, and he takes it in that spirit.]
What, are ya doubtin' me now? C'mon, ain't doing that badly!
[He starts lifting his part of her up anyway. Hold onto that tail!]
/Mun/ Sorry for being late!
[Looks at Australia dumbly for a second and then at the crocodile. He really thinks he can lift this humongous animal? There's still a bit doubt within him , but that quickly changes when her tail pops him right in the mouth again. Hit me once, shame on me. Hit me twice, shame - on - you - !]
[With a angry grunt, he lifts as well and holy cow he's lifting up a crocodile!]
no worries!
[The crocodile might be flailing a bit as they lift her up, but up she goes! It's amazing what a rush of blood in anger can do. Or from the mouth in this case. Either way, the result draws a cheer from him as they hold onto her.]
Told ya! Shame we can't take a snap, nice addition to the album right?
[Mum would be so proud! Or not, considering the closest they have to one is England and he'd just call them idiots for doing this.]
/Mun/ Again I am late yikes
(no subject)
(no subject)
I have to go sleep, wrap up here okay?
/Mun/ That's fine with me. It was fun!
