Some things I found out about sloths the other day that made me very concerned about sloths:

-Sloths have naturally slow metabolisms but if they don't eat for a while their metabolisms can slow down further. So much that they can starve to death with a full stomach.

-Sloths are pretty resilient to falls, but sometimes the babies will die because their mothers won't climb down from the trees to save them. They also sometimes fall directly into rivers, but don't worry; they're good swimmers.

-Sloths have no known evolutionary relatives except for other sloths.
