Either 'personal' blogs that post or reblog things I really like, or themed blogs that post... things I like.

How do you get lots of followers?

A few ways I've noticed

*start a themed blog centered around a popular niche (like that nonwestern fashion blog that got thousands and thousands in only a few days, though it went down the SJW shithole fast)

*follow people back and interact with people on Tumblr

*post personal pictures (especially with "Tumblr" style filters or editing)

*Post frequently

the only one I follow is vivalahetalia because I don't know any others. they're okay, post too frequently sometimes and make some personal posts I don't care about and reblog a few other fandoms sometimes

I like following history blogs and personal blogs of people who like stuff I like.

I'm not crazy about Tumblr, but unfortunately I have some friends who only post to there, so.

I don't follow many Hetalia-specific blogs. But there are some artists that I like; most of them are on pixiv too.

Other than that I mostly follow personal blogs, since I generally use tumblr to keep up with friends who don't go to the meme or post to lj/dw.

Though of the non-personal blogs I follow, some are "pretty photos of pretty places" kind of blogs (such as travelthisworld and FuckYeah Nova Scotia). Also mediumaevum for medieval stuff (usually cool but occasionally makes annoying offtopic posts). I like Dutch-and-Flemish-painters but I don't follow them because they post a lot. And FyeahEasternEurope doesn't update any more, but it's still one of my favourite blogs. (Come baaaack.....)

Ah yeah, I remember that Hetalia eastern Europe blog too. Did it just stop updating? Maybe somebody should begin a new one.

I don't know how you get lots of followers, maybe post with a consistent theme? I never really tried since I just do whatever and don't want to hold to a theme. Except dumb humor. I am all about dumb humor. That is my theme. My blog is not very popular.
