It was popular for her (given that she ain't exactly a popular character to begin with) in the early parts of fandom
Maybe some 5 years ago and that was really concentrated to Jfen since it was her only canon interaction at the time

What I'm guessing is most of the people who are making posts about this already have a bad taste of Hetalia in their mouths and think that fandom will go "aww Russia just wants his big sister again"

Even worse is I've noticed a trend with Ukr-fen getting testy and assuming that Wfen don't understand what's going on and how dare they even be talking about Hetalia Ukraine they should have no say in the matter and Nanihoo, k3llyb3an, and buhbuhbetsy are the Wfen Ukraine BNFs and they're being mega civil on the matter
