I only stay in a few tags, follow people who have proven not to be of the sort that regularly posts things I roll my eyes at (and if they were to start, which I doubt, I wouldn't hesitate to unfollow them), and use Tumblr Savior to blacklist some terms I really don't want to see anything about.

So far it's been working peachy, and has actually kept my dislike for Tumblr to a bare minimum (and the things I do dislike have more to do with the site itself than the part of community I see). I guess I miss out on 95% of the drama this way and therefore have no idea what's going on, but hey, nothing of value lost. I'm in a fandom to have fun and started using Tumblr to post my stuff where people will actually see it, not to lose a little more faith in humanity every time I take a look at my dashboard/the tags.
