part 352 may flowers and showers

Hey meme... it's gonna be May! Which means it's spring for many people! Or, it should be, if the weather would decide to cooperate. I've been wanting to plant my jalapenos outside but it keeps getting randomly cold... I just want spicy peppers, weather! I mean come on.

Anyway. At least it's not snowing. Or eternally Halloween. If you know what I mean.

Enjoy part 352!

I used to have a slight flower kink because of Marluxia in Kingdom Hearts?? mostly with the idea of flowers perfumed with aphrodisiacs or sedative-like scents...

Have to go in a second why do I miss all the kink talk wahhh I wanna add on to the watersports/desperation thread too ;o; but can't resist adding I always loved the idea of flowers + objectification kink - as in tying up your pretty, pretty human vase and then taking your sweet time rearranging that bouquet in his butt until it all looks just right and then leaving your finished centerpiece in a place where guests are sure to be able to admire him (to his distress) all evening long...

And I drew flower crown vine bondage once, with England, but now I want to do it again because I saw this photo from a fashion show where the models were all walking with little bundles of flowers held in their mouths and it was very lovely and whimsical all but I want a dark and dirty version of that with a posy used as a creative (and seasonal!) gag...

...I admit I always liked the idea of Japan using chrysanthemums as a sort of decoration/turn on (wearing them, their designs being on his clothing, having them around him, even just holding one/some) because... well, "Kiku" means "chrysanthemum".

This page I just found with a quick search also mentions some interesting things about them in relation with Japan, huh:

http://sakuraave.com/845/what-is-the-meaning-of-the-chrysanthemum-kiku-in-japanese-culture/

Also, doing things under cherry blossom trees would probably turn him on a lot, too.

Unrelated to Japan, but France's roses down there come to thought, as well. England likely also has a huge kink for roses (and giving/receiving them), I would think... Japan probably enjoys roses, too, h-heh. No doubt because of influence from England (their alliance...) and possibly even France (otaku bros).

...Actually, thinking about it, Japan probably has a thing for most beautiful flowers in general. He really loves nature, after all...

oh, and can't forget tentacles... though idek if they count as "flowers" more than general plants

My last year as an undergrad I got to take a class on queer literature and culture in Japan. It was very interesting, but the entire first month was about the chrysanthemum as a symbol for the anus and homosexual acts involving it.

So I just want you to know I have been giggling like a kid at this post for about five minutes now.

Of course I can see Japan appreciating them for all the legit reason too, naturally, but that's just not as funny. something something slept with Greece.

Laugh with me anon!! I think it's great that Japan's imperial symbol used to be a poetic symbol for buttfucking! He should embrace this fact, really!

the chrysanthemum as a symbol for the anus and homosexual acts involving it.

AH I KNEW I WAS FORGETTING SOMETHING HOW I knew there was something sexual about it too, but I couldn't remember exactly what it related to sexually -- (I should have looked it up too but I'm a bit tired, orz...) but yes, chrysanthemums

h-haha, I'm glad my comment provided you entertainment, though?!

something something slept with Greece for certain, yes --

also that class sounds interesting to me too actually... /taking a Japanese class now, but I don't think they have a class like that at my college!

I don't know how easy that information is to come across actually, lmao, but I'm happy to remind you! It's a wonderful coincidence!! Chrysanthemums are versatile symbols~

"Here, Greece-san, it's my imperial flower"-

And it was a really interesting class, I'm so glad I took it. I wish I could remember the name of the guy who wrote our main textbook, ugh, but it was something long and German orz.

I just remember having read it somewhere before, ahh... maybe on the kink meme once? p-pfft also, they seem to pop up in Japan related doujinshi every now and then, too, so that's more of what I was thinking about! I can't name any examples off the top of my head, but yeah, I'm pretty sure I've seen the chrysanthemum used as imagery symbolism in Japan pairing doujinshi before. Also... with the pairing of AsaKiku in particular, "asa" can mean "morning", yeah, so it translates to "morning chrysanthemum", which a lot of Asakiku fans seem to find adorable, e-eheh.

sjdhddhdshj stop it before you give me actual feelings (but I bet Greece would accept it anyhow) (most definitely)

and ahaaa, I see... maybe someday I can take a class like that too, though! (maybe if I ever transfer to a university with more variety and the like... well, I plan on that someday, yes) I love learning about Japan in general and it'd surely be amusing to take overall, pfft... but even in general, I just find the culture really neat to learn about \o/ so I think I'd enjoy a class like that too, haha...

Oh god, I don't tend to seek out Japan fanworks but I have no doubt doujin are littered with them. I'm sure Jfen loves it. Ah you're right, I never noticed that before, I agree that is really cute buhyoo.

Sadly it's not a very well-studied area of Japanese studies (mostly because the Japanese government freaks out if they find out you're studying the "gay angle" to something especially takarazuka oh my god) but I'm sure you can find a university with a big enough Japanese department to give you lots of cultural studies. Ganbatte! /o/

Jfen probably does love it a lot, yup!

and ahh I hadn't thought of that... (I'm not surprised though, no) but yes, cultural studies in general is definitely what I'd enjoy too, pfft. I hope there will be more class options and variety available to me later yup (Arigatou!) /o/
