part 353 whalers on the moon

We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

Enjoy part 353!

america's tastes like freedom. or burgers, same diff. it sounds like it should taste awful but it is weirdly kind of good but in a junk food good kind of way.

ice cream made of england tastes significantly better than ice cream made by england. probably tea. slightly bitter, might appeal more to some than others.

france's tastes of fine wine and roses. it's actually pretty damn fantastic. i can see the ice cream commercial already.

canada's, maple syrup. also tastes of neverending snow and ice and a hockey puck hitting you in the teeth.

A flavor that everyone recognize but no one is able to tell what it is and it's very annoying. The label on the tub says "Mystery flavor".

Interestingly enough, when Paul wrote Yesterday, at first he only had the melody and had no idea what to sing to it. He'd play it on the piano over and over again, muttering "scrambled eggs... dadadadadadum scrambled eggs..." until everybody got sick of it and told him to write some freakin words already.

I just thought that had some interesting parallels to this story, haha. Enjoy your dinner, anon!

Re: historical fiction

(Anonymous) 2014-06-30 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
Because it's basically real person fanfiction, so I have to work within the confines of known history

plus it's harder to make up a fake story when it's real people
