We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

They were really nice! I haven't been in years. The park I went to had a mini-fair set up, too! There were stands with elephant ears, funnel cakes, corn dogs, yum yum

And I actually want to see fireworks in person. Oh well. I can still hear neighbor's fireworks at least.

Do Americans have to pay to see fireworks?

I don't know of any place where you pay specifically to see the fireworks, but a lot of fireworks are held in county parks/similar areas where you have to pay (it's usually something like 2-5 bucks per car) to get in. And even then, many people simply set up chairs/blankets outside the park where the fireworks can still be seen

Not usually, no. But there might be a fee required to get into the area to see the fireworks. Like my local fireworks are at a county park, which is $5 to get in.

The guy I like asked if I would like to join him, but my eldest brother is visiting and leaves tomorrow, so my family wanted to stay in and play games.

The fireworks came to me! We watched the neighbors all around us set them off.

I went with my friend to see some. It was the first time I've seen any with people other than my family, I was so happy!

The fireworks on the lake this year were just as good as other years. They had a chill amateur hour from 10-11pm for people shooting fireworks from their own yards/docks, then a BIG community-funded professional-ish show from boats in the middle of the lake at 11pm. The sound and light from fireworks on a lake is absolutely unparalleled, I'm telling you.

Meeeeeeeee. I watched it live, but I probably won't be doing that again lol.

I thought the plot and pacing was great, as was the OP, but the animation was horrible. Just horrible.

I'm still gonna watch the whole season though.

The eyecatches were pretty, at least.

ALSO is it just me or do the side/minor characters have way more expressive features than Usagi and the glimpse we saw of Ami? Usagi's face is just O_O all the time with this weird glossy eyed look but Naru, for example, looked much better.

Me too. I guess it'll have to be like PGSM, where I overlook the cheesy CGI and monster costumes.
