part 353 whalers on the moon
We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.
Enjoy part 353!

Re: Campfire time
[takes stick and counts slowly to three before starting to eat]
'Sgood! [swallow] Food always tastes better outside unless the weather is really bad.
[could he...if he moves a little...YES Berlitz-pillow ah this is nice]
Re: Campfire time
Ah, food doesn't just change its taste like that...
[Meanwhile he keeps petting Berlitz, startling himself when he accidentally brushes the back of his hand against Italy's head]
[In that case, he'll stop petting and use both hands to roast his sausage. Simply because he doesn't want to spoil Berlitz by giving him too much attention]
Re: Campfire time
[well if Germany's not going to give Berlitz more attention then Italy sure can]
[reaches up to start scratching under Berlitz's chin]
Do you think Berlitz wants a sausage?
Re: Campfire time
[C-cute]
[Berlitz seems to like it, too, unless he's wagging his tail for some other reason]
He likes the smell of them, but he can't have any. These sausages aren't good for dogs.
Re: Campfire time
Aw, why not? Aren't they just meat?
[shifts a little so he's more comfortable]
Re: Campfire time
There's too much fat and sodium in them to be healthy for dogs.
[Hands Italy one of the raw sausages still left]
Here. You should roast one, too.
Re: Campfire time
Oh, really? Okay...
[takes the sausage and sticks it on the stick] -Ah, I have to get up for this!
Ah, sorry about that, I fell asleep before I could tag back!
[Huffs] Don't complain, it's not that much work. And doesn't it make the experience more entertaining?
[Which is Germany's way of saying he thought Italy would like it]
it's okay!
[finally manages to haul self into a sitting position, shaking off some leaf mold from his back]
Okay!
Re: it's okay!
[Cue Berlitz rolling over on his back and pawing at Italy, begging for tummy rubs. And more attention, probably]
[If Italy were a stranger, Germany might've snapped his fingers and ordered Berlitz to stop begging, but since it's a fellow nation, he'll make an exception. He sighs, and, since he may as well, scratches Berlitz's stomach for a bit]
Re: it's okay!
[is very susceptible to cute animals, gives Berlitz a nice big tummy rub with his spare hand] Aw, he's all covered in leaves!
[so is Italy; lying around on the ground will do that]
Re: it's okay!
[Nods] Berlitz likes running around outside as much as Aster and Blackie do.
[Brushes some of the leaves off. It takes a lot of effort to keep his dogs clean, but it's worth it. Then he looks up at Italy]
Ah, you're covered in leaves too...
Re: it's okay!
Mm, so does my cat, but I can't let him do it a lot because he comes back super muddy and dirty and he hates getting washed and then everyone's all upset. I guess it's a bit easier for you 'cause Berlitz is less fluffy so less stuff sticks to him.
I- [checks shirt] -oh, yep, I am. [another shake to try and get it off]
Re: it's okay!
There are still some leaves left! Here...
[Gives him a couple of pats on the back to help him get rid of those leaves. While Germany's not rough, he's not exactly gentle with those pats either]
Re: it's okay!
I- oh! [is jolted forwards a bit by the patting] Thanks!
Re: it's okay!
Just be careful about where you roll around.
[Whether they're on a camping trip or not, Germany will always be uptight about certain subjects]
Re: it's okay!
Do you think the sausage is cooked now? It smells kind of cooked.
Re: it's okay!
[Pulls it closer, rolling the stick over to inspect his sausage, then he nods]
You'll have to let it cool off, but it's safe to eat.
Re: it's okay!
[counts slowly to three again and starts eating] Mm, 's still good!
This is really fun, isn't it?
