part 353 whalers on the moon

We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

Enjoy part 353!

Wicker Man! The original. I mention it almost every time movies come up, but it's because I really do love it that much.

Spinal Tap is always fun too.

(And also an anti-favourite: Rocky Horror Picture Show. I can't stand that one.)

This album cover is just... black. It's like... how much more black could it be? And the answer is none: none more black.

The Room is the shittiest fucking movie in the world and I love it.

I just really like terrible B-movie (or worse) cult movies because I love laughing at those things

Do The Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, and Silence of the Lambs count as 'cult' or not? They feel pretty popular but I can never tell.

I would say the first two maaaaaaaaaaybe, maaaaaaaybe... but not the second.

To me, a cult film is a film which was not widely recognized as a success (either critically or financially or both) when it was first released, or was not given wide distribution etc, and only obtained notice through cult status
