part 353 whalers on the moon

We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

Enjoy part 353!

Torchic.

Alternatively, if I were for personality/history rather than aesthetics, I suppose the army with a country would want some kind of fighting type. Are there any fighting types that are devious/tricksters in personality?

FUCK YEAH I'VE GOT A DRAGON!! And then they'd ride it across Europe bragging/terrorizing France, Austria, and/or Russia.

Of course since Prussia is inseparable from Japan I find it hard to believe they wouldn't know what Pokemon is, especially the first 150.

Does Japan quiz them on a regular basis?

No, they're not otaku or anything. In fact if Japan tried even showing them pictures they'd probably only know the German names and it would get frustrating pretty quickly.

Weirdly enough that's how my first study abroad in Japan went when I was 15, my classmates tried to bond with me over pokemon but it kind of failed epically because I only knew their English names and they only knew their Japanese names so we couldn't talk about them.
