We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

Ukraine and Belarus being sexually promiscuous bluuugh

you know why Eastern European women are stereotyped as prostitutes? They're FORCED to be, either by their own poverty or human trafficking. And for Ukraine it comes off as some attempt to make her look less pitiful?

I also hate the big boobs = sexual stereotype

But for some reason I'm not bothered by Hungary.

In canon, Lithuania straight up says he hates Prussia and Latvia says he hates the Teutonic Knights. Such bros.

And now that I looked at the post above, amazing 100% serious business military Prussia who never does or says anything stupid. I like Prussia when he's competent, but he's a total dork. That combination is why I like him so much.

Japan raping China during WWII is what I've seen the most, but I remember a fic where he raped pretty much every single nation that was under the thumb of the Japanese Empire until WWII. (OC's included, I think) That was, uh, ew.

I also remember some fics with China raping Taiwan and Hong Kong, but these were really old and most likely lost forever. And were also all kinds of ew.
