We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? it's like it swallowed me whole and now i'm drowning in... in porn. this is not so bad, actually. but i never thought i'd be so into just ONE pairing so late in the game. trying to rekindle my multishipping but just not getting interested in much else it seems.

Almost all the really good authors and artists have either left the fandom or gone to support a different ship but I'm still following most of them and I feel so lonely and bitter when I see them having fun with their new toys.

I like Russia/Prussia, but like as bad buddies stuck doing bad things together, being assholes dudebros to everyone in a complementary way and having screaming matches at least once a week and maybe a bit of violence because hey but not too much you know. But everything I find is rapetruck and weeping uke and Stockholm Syndrome and ergh I'm not into that sorry :'(.

I used to like this pairing but now I'm bored as fuck about it unless it's really, reallllllly heavy on incest kink. Not just the fact that it's incest, but focusing on it in a kinky way especially the forbidden pleasures angle

I wonder if it's not as popular as some other pairings because fans see him as too sensitive or weak or nice and it's more entertaining to pair the other guy with someone more rough and aggressive.

But within canon, I think this pairing is perfectly capable of having some angry hatesex, you just need to know how to write it...

i'm starting to hate a lot of these uber fluffy headcanons/fic ideas because half the time they sound like self-insert wishful thinking and stuify both halves of the pairing in weird ways

like... idk, i like domestic stuff sometimes, but it should be... a normal degree of happiness not this weird sort of super super SUPER sappy cheesy over the top kind of thing that just makes my skin crawl with how nauseatingly sweet it is.

it's like that creepy TOO sweet taste you get when you're drinking something that has artificial sweeteners in it. it feels fake and leaves an icky aftertaste.

i'm not going to name it because i get the feeling it isn't that popular anymore and i wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings if they happen to hang here and be among those who interpret it or fantasize about it in a super cutesy-sweet way

i'm just venting because it has been forever since i found something there to either entertain me or turn me on in any way, and meanwhile allllll this fluff fluff fluff drowning in fluff

Okay, fine, some people get off on historical rapefic with this pairing. Fine. But I wish that there could be the same amount of stuff with modern settings and consensual relationship. Then I'd be happy too.
