We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

Also, it's not uncommon for a bad game to get physical. Both teams get frustratred and angry at the lack of result, the public is nervous for the bad play and its nervousness carries on the field, etc.

Lol, he seems to be developing a taste for big brawny defenders. He must not have liked Bakkal much. We'll see who he goes for next! That could be a nice betting pool.

They should get t-shirts to show off when they score a goal!

Yeah, we deserved that one. I don't even want to blame Prandelli too bad, the poor guy was just under the impression he took players with him, not really buff babies. And for all the mistakes the referee made he gave us five more minutes in the end to even the score.

Uruguay played badly too, but meh. They'll be out next round. Who are they up against, Colombia?

It was not a pretty match but tbh Suarez deserves to get banned from this Cup for that bite.

Yeah they'll be up against Colombia. Even if they win that they'll be up against the winner of the Brazil - Chile match.

Yeah, it really is unlucky the referee didn't see. Not that it would have changed much at that point, and with TV proof he probably is out by now, but still, it would've been nice to see Suarez expelled so at least tomorrow I won't have to deal with 4253456456 Italians telling me the referee was bought by Uruguay (honestly I think he did a decent job considering at a point it basically turned into a rugby game).

Unless Uruguay's game does a 180° they're most definitely out in a couple rounds at most, then. They surely aren't going far playing like this.
