part 353 whalers on the moon
We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.
Enjoy part 353!

And she would be insulted by the tone and all but honestly this is basically one of her oldest and most private dreams come true so be as quiet as and take as long as you want. Well, almost anyway, obviously she used to picture her mother doing her hair for her.
Just imagine an itty bitty pre-Teuton Julchen brushing and braiding and generally playing with Mutti Germania's hair for hours and hours and you'll have a pretty good idea what their good days were like. And it's not like Germania ignored her little bit of fuzz she called hair because she wasn't bald, thank you very much Teuton but you know, it's not really the same as brushing and styling with a little bit of motherly affection. She's always kind of regretted that her hair didn't start growing until long after Germania was gone.
So yeah. Take your time! Even without the sentimentality, hair brushing is the number one way to get Julchen to calm down. In fact she might just be humming a little happily to herself as you finish up...!]
Wahh im being pulled away
That is the saddest thing in the world and if she told him that she'd break his heart. YOU POOR SHAVED LITTLE CHILD. A good number of his sons grew their hair long, so he is no stranger to braids and brushing.
He may lack the motherly affection touch but surely she can settle for some gentle fatherly diligence. Ties off her braid so softly she can barely feed it]
There we are.
go do the things bb <33
Danke, Vater!
[Awkward pause, then hugs you....! Okay now she's gonna run off before that gets weird. BUT DON'T BE SAD Julchen was a happy baby and more importantly now he's cheered her for at least a week!]
