part 353 whalers on the moon

We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

Enjoy part 353!

I'm so pumped for this game! Though yeah, my enthusiasm has been dampened by all the announcements of exciting, new... removals of old basic features.

I haven't bothered with Sims games in a long time but I'm already poking around seeing which cc hairs are around that might work for Hetalia characters (I imagine there's going to be quite a lot of TS3 -> TS4 cc converting going on). Came across lots of good possibilities for Spain, England, France, Prussia, the Italies... pity I can't find anything that really works for America.

Also I binge-watched a ton of TS3 speed build videos on Youtube last night and holy shit I am so impressed. Also, is it just me, or are a lot of the more prolific builders Australian? Is The Sims especially popular in Australia? Or architecture in general? Man, I want to shoehorn this inane (and probably inaccurate; it's just that I keep running across Australian simmers) observation into headcanon but then again it conflicts with my existing headcanon - I mean, I've always thought Hetalia's Australia is a rough-and-tumble outdoorsy type who prefers crocodile wrestling to computer games and tents or cabins or something over meticulously designed modern homes. I mean, I can't quite see him huddling there fastidiously centering the bitsy pixel people ceiling lights and angsting over wall treatment choices for the foyer.

But whatever, screw this, everybody in Hetalia should play sims - I mean the nations playing the game, I can quite easily imagine nations enjoying the little power trip, like, you know, making distinctly unflattering sim representations of other nations, and making other nations piss themselves over and over, and... and who needs diplomacy when you can so easily resolve international disputes via cowplant? The secret to world domination peace: cowplants.

Oh fuck it's like 2am bluuuuuuurgh
