We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

Dirty talk, especially if it features something like "Look at how eager you are, you filthy slut". I usually end up finding it comical.

Smut that doesn't know it's non-consensual. I actually love non-con, but if the vibe I get from the story is that the author means the scene to be romantic and healthy, fuck no.

No characterization. It's not enough for me to know what body part goes where. I want the characters to talk, think and act in a way that fits them instead of losing all personality they have. If I could replace the names in the sex scene so that it's impossible to guess which characters are in it, the scene sucks.

There are actually people who write porn scenes without names and go "just insert your OTP into this! :D" like they've done something great. Fuck that.

agh, yes, the 'insert your fave character names', i just do not get those
possibly only thing i'd like less is when it's "Insert Character X Reader"
or maybe when they write it as an actual pairing, names filled in and all, but with an author's note that if you don't like that pairing you can just find&replace it with your otp - i've seen that at least once, wtf, what do you even think you wrote and why?
i mean it's lovely to be so open and non-ship-fighty and all, but oh, please, any other possible expression of that attitude besides excising the characters

Also, +1 to dirty talk. I just don't get dirty talk and find it weird in general.
