We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

this WC really has been a lesson for a lot of former football powerhouses

see, this is the reason why I'm a fan of the German national team and Germans in general. Work hard and bring home results, not words, dammit.

also omg if Argentina wins a WC right in the middle of Brazil a lot of Brazilians are going to be so pissed. so friggin pissed. my god.

Germany will try for sure. I haven't seen an Argentina game yet (I'm kinda behind on this WC if I'm honest, all of my teams have already left the field except Germany) so I don't know how they are this year. I know they rely a lot on Messi (who wouldn't) while Germany seems to have a stronger collective but aside from that I got nothing.

Honestly that game against Spain isn't something I'll soon forget.

Yeah, that's not something I will forget either. Damn. 5-0 against Spain and now 7-0 against Brasil, Italy not even making it beyond group stage...This really is a weird WC. I suppose it's something that happens when a change of generation and type of play is in order but it's so weird to watch.

That'd be even better. If Netherlands beats Argentina they'll have to face Brazil and then Brazil can beat them themselves.

I really hope they do because omg, Germany-Netherlands AND Argentina-Brazil game? Two of the biggest rivalries in the football world right there.
