We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

I've been away from the meme and the Hetalia fandom because Haikyuu happened, have I missed anything important?

I've no idea what haikyuu means, but not much. Since Himaruya got a new horror series he hasn't updated Hetalia. The Hetaweenmas event 2012 is still unfinished, Himaruya started a new Hetaween event in 2013 but that's also still unfinished.

Besides the occasional World Cup related jokes/art, fandom has been quiet since Himaruya has been MIA again.

I wish instead of doing these intensive events that - although lots of fun, and surprisingly actually great for filling in character personality info - he can't seem to finish, Himaruya would've stuck to just doing a few stand-alone strips each month with a quick culture/history/news joke. I think he'd be better able to balance that without burning out.

True that. I don't care much for the Hetaweenmas event tbh. But I was hoping he had updated that strip with grandpa Rome. Even if I'm not in the fandom anymore I can still enjoy the series.

Do you mean the part where Rome goes down to earth with Germania and they're in modern clothes and Rome is looking for his old house? That part did get finished, I think. It should be on hetarchive.

That one hasn't been really finished either, iirc it was left in "to be continued" with a sample sketch of teen!Rome and babumano!
