We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

A cardverse fic focused on the nordics from a kink meme request. I plan to make it some sort of fantasy/magic/journey epic fic. I got my main plot down, only working on minor details. But... Haven't started writing even 1 sentence for it. Can't get my butt off from playing video games.

This sounds intriguing! I love magic + Hetalia characters, and how interesting to see Cardverse going beyond the usual characters.

(And the last part sounds all too much like me... I know that feel, all too well OTL)

Ironically, the plot is mostly inspired by a couple video games, along with the Nordics' cardverse designs as sailors. Also, that is true, I'm a big fan of cardverse myself and I like the designs but it's pretty obvious most fics set on it focus on the royals, especially Spades. Well, mine will still incorporate the royals but they're firmly minor characters.

Yes, even if they inspired me, video games are still distracting, aren't they?/o\

Yeah, I like Cardverse but by the ten thousandth royal fairy tale ending it does get a bit stale; I think the more successful cardverse fics do more worldbuilding beyond or on top of the usual king-queen love story. And it'd be cool to see what's going on with some people who aren't the royals or jacks for once.

Inspiration or addiction? So hard to say...

I agree. Anyway, I'm glad to find someone as interested in this as I do. Perhaps this will get me more motivated to actually start writing. Got to go off for now but thanks a lot, anon!
