I... can't imagine Japan with a beard or a stubble. The Asian Nations in general would look weird to me with facial hair.

My immediate thought was that England would look ridiculous, like some sort of testosterone-pumped mutant manbaby, but then I thought, well, my art style's a bit more angular, more prominent jawline, so perhaps it wouldn't be completely horri...



...yeah no, nooooo, that looks fucking awful and somebody should hold him down if need be to forcibly shave that monstrosity away.

Anyway, I prefer everyone as they are in canon. I guess France can look alright either way, Germany or Netherlands might look cool with stubble, Russia too - otherwise everybody has to stay the exact same forever even if/when they are stranded on That Fucking Island or That Fucking Hetaweenmas.

I don't care if you don't have a legit razor, gentlemen; use a sharpened oyster shell if you have to but no matter what YOU WILL FUCKING SHAVE.

The ones that have it in the comic, well, I can't imagine them without it. (Turkey without stubble is not Turkey, yo)

I normally can't picture Norway with facial hair, but I just came across this on my dash. Still not really into it, but okay.

Russia might look good with it.

Well, France looks good with either. (Yes, Turkey without his stubble isn't Turkey. And he would look bad with a full beard.)

... I'm shocked at how awesome Denmark looks with a beard. (I bet it's the Viking Past. Norway looks so so.)

Probably vikings, yep. And it definitely suits Denmark, haa. :D Wouldn't prefer it as his default design, but in historical settings, I could totally roll with it.

Same here. As vikings it would fit them, but have they been old enough to grow beards? (And braid their beards.)

Re: canon, I... dk. There are old drawings of viking-era Denmark where he looks like he'd be old enough for it, but then in the 1650s strips he looks a little too young for that... So I really have no idea.
