[but all the humor goes out of him when she starts treating that nasty looking wound and he's already reaching for his first aid kit just in case]

[ It takes some willpower to keep going, the tugging where the blood and puss have dried the bandage to the tender flesh. Thankfully though, after Austria's cleaning, it doesn't seem to be infected, however it doesn't look good. The bruising is awful and it needs to be cleaned again to avoid infection. ]

Like I wish I hadn't run off by myself.

[ She pulls the bandage off completely and tosses it aside, carefully trying to set her let up on the edge of the well but the weight is too much for the wound and she sets it back down. ]

Ahhh...

[when the full extent of her injury is revealed he can't help but mutter a reflexive geçmiş olsun - may it pass and you recover soon. And to that end, he takes the saline from his med kit and holds it out to her]

If ya need to clean that, this'd be best. Better than whatever's lurkin' in the water here. Need it more than I do, anyway!

Are you sure?

[ At Austria had made sure to use Belgium's saline. A smart move for the cautious. Turkey however, offering it all to her... she needs it and she knows but he's already given her food. ]

[he expects the only way he'd end up injured is in a fight and if that doesn't kill him, then he'll worry about the consequences of giving away his saline]

No use waitin' for what might happen when there's a need for it now. Take it.

[ Well, if he insists. She looks at him for a moment before taking the bottle, giving him a quiet 'thank you' before she carefully tends to her wound. The sting is harsh but she grits her teeth and deals with it. She needs to keep this thing clean. She knows that an infected wound can do to a person. ]

Turkey... have you seen my brother?

That-- [bastard? asshole? jerk?] --Guy. Huh.

[absentmindedly cups a handful of well water and rubs it down his chest. He's tired of the grime and blood residue. What he wouldn't give for a trip to the hamam...]

Nah, haven't seen him. But he's tough. Resourceful. Should do alright.

[a second later he realizes that's not what she'll want to hear - that he'll be good at this game - and hastens to correct himself]

You're okay. I'm very slow 5 days out of the week so I can't judge.

[ She glances at him when he catches himself but she doesn't argue. She understands what Turkey may think. She'd like to think he wouldn't hurt someone unless he absolutely had no other choice. Knowing Ned, he's bartering his way around the island gathering resources and picking out prime territory to set up camp and wait all of this out. ]

[ She can only nod before going back to tending to her leg, using some of the bandage to clean off the area before she starts fumbling in her bag for her clean bandages. ]

[he falls silent, letting her take care of rewrapping her wound, and continues to scrub himself down as best he can, but it's frustrating. He's not one to fall into daydreams, but his thoughts keep straying to how nice a real bath would feel, yet-]

No tellin' how long we'll be out here...

[sighing, he plants himself down on the rim of the well and grabs the sickle. Might as well clean that too]

[ She hears the scrape of the steel against the stone and she stiffens, turning to look back at him as he takes the sickle in hand. ]

[in the absence of a cleaning cloth and loathe to use his shirt, he's trying to use a large leaf to wipe the dried blood off the blade]







[it's not very effective]

[ That blood is just being smeared all over and it makes her uncomfortable. She'd inch away but she's having an issue relaxing while he's holding it. ]

[just. gives up. he's gonna slice his fingers open at this rate, so he swishes what he can off in the water and succumbs to using a corner of his shirt to wipe it (mostly) clean]


[looks up because the silence suddenly feels tense]

[bellabelgium]

[ Shakes her head and looks away. ]

N-Nothing.

[ She continues wrapping her leg quietly, trying not to think to hard on Turkey. He wouldn't have helped her with these supplies if he wanted to kill her. ]

[sets the sickle on top of his bag, oblivious to her line of thinking, and watches her work]

[he's really got nothing keeping him here anymore other than a drying shirt. He plucks at it, but putting on wet clothing is a bad idea. Maybe heading to a sunny area would be a good idea...]

[ She ties off the bandage as tightly as she can tolerate, feeling very tired but she knows she has to keep moving. ]

I'm going to keep following the river. I think it's going northwest. I'm sure everyone has dispersed by now but I need to find Netherlands.

[ Glances over at him. ]

What about you?

[bobs his head in understanding and scratches his chin in thought]

Road's a bit north of here. Think I'll take it west an' follow it up the coast. Haven't been near the beach at all.

[he won't make it that far before being deterred by a stubborn Greek, but he doesn't know that yet]
