part 361 jumping junebugs

It's gonna be already May! Have you done your spring cleaning yet? I can't believe the year is almost half over already, it seems like it's going so fast, too fast... ah! And we're only a few months away from a new season and hopefully a certain someone will finish up certain storylines they haven't finish coughcoughcough.

Enjoy part 361!

ha, first time I've actually watched the video version of one of these, usually I just see them as gifsets on tumblr

I guess they chose that look to portray the growing discontent in the GDR?

Youtube comments + Google fu tells me that the look was based on Nina Hagen, a singer, but that look wasn't mainstream/common at all. It's kind of odd for them to choose that look, considering that all the other looks are more standard/typical.

Aaand now I've watched all of them in a row, whew!

Hum! Yeah I guess they just decided they needed something that would show a big difference between the two sides and comment on the politics of the era. Not to mention it's a great way to encapsulate how bifurcated popular culture was in the 80s with prep vs punk. Can't show that as easily in the single-person versions.
