part 363 paper snowflakes

It's... December! I can't believe it's almost the end of another year. Time is weird. Anyway! There's been a lot of neato Hetalia news in the meantime! That game (that I can't get working but will look at videos and screencaps of so I can play vicariously)! The image of the first doll! The musical promo images!! What are you most excited for?

Enjoy part 363!

If you could change one thing about Hetalia, what would it be?

Just one thing? Damn...

Maybe this one thing within the Ancients' group but I guess I would just bring the fandom back, because canon content isn't as satisfying as it was. Fortunately, it's way more stable than 3 years ago, but still...

It's Hetalia. Even the rice pastes blush.

America is 19, isn't the legal drinking age in his place 21?

[Thinks]

[It'll have to be a catchy title, to be sure, but it must also be accurate]

A history of Germany from the founding of the German Confederation in 1815 until 2016.

Volume 1 out of 10.

[1200 pages]

[He may not have his brother's amount of diaries, but that doesn't mean he slacks off when it comes to taking notes. Even if they are of his own life]

[And the cover will be an outline of the map of his home, drawn to look like an engineering schematic]

Well, I have not died (permanently) yet. Therefore the initial assertion is evidently incorrect.

that's the best part, they're very likely in england where the drinking age is 18 (i think?) and yet america's still not allowed to drink because... BECAUSE.

i am 99% sure this exact thing happened last new years too. england has apparently invited america over to spend new years in a pub where america is the legal drinking age bc it's england... and england won't let him get a drink.

and at that time people wrote himaruya to point out the law in england, and asking why america wouldn't be allowed to drink, and himaruya came up with a bunch of random answers the best of which was 'england's mean.'

this makes me way happier than it should. it also makes me ship them and i'm surprised that for such a popular ship i have not seen anyone do a fic or drabble based on this funny stupid thing about england denying america alcohol just cos he can.

Hmmm my birthday is in 17 days, maybe I should ask Spain for a present to fix that.

yep. well, what can be said, we're getting older.

content is better than the doldrum birz years though. and i'm glad no more emperors/historical figures though i am also sad for himaruya that that didn't work out. but seriously, aside from caligula's mom being occasionally hilarious, that was a major snoozefest imo.

somewhere out there, not even part of this fandom, captain america says, "fondue?"

(Anonymous) 2016-01-01 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
maybe he's just worried that if he lets him drink he will try to sneak to bars in his own place too. He still needs to wait for a few hundred years before he can drink.

Plus wasn't there some wank about transphobia though?

Else I agree I wouldn't read them again because I really don't care about the life of historical figures, but at least we got Mama Egypt and Persia? Even if I hate hate hate how the grandchildren thing was implied because it's so against Hima's rules. I can explain more indetail if you want.

(Anonymous) 2016-01-01 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
psssh i would bet you money america, like most 19 year olds who are actually 19, finds ways to drink just fine back home.

i think england just likes to tease him about it. 21 is an unusually high drinking age law compared to most of the world.

but england probably says what you're saying as an excuse.

i doubt himaruya would've been concerned about a wank about transphobia from tumblr.

yep, i don't care for them and moreover i don't think they were as interesting as the idea of personified nations from the start, anyway. what grandchildren thing? please do explain, i may have missed this entirely... i admit i skipped a few of those strips.
