part 363 paper snowflakes

It's... December! I can't believe it's almost the end of another year. Time is weird. Anyway! There's been a lot of neato Hetalia news in the meantime! That game (that I can't get working but will look at videos and screencaps of so I can play vicariously)! The image of the first doll! The musical promo images!! What are you most excited for?

Enjoy part 363!

seconding that he was good in The Prestige

in Zoolander he was fun, but he was doing himself, not sure if it counts

Absolute Beginners is very meh but he's the best thing in it

and of course there's The Man Who Fell On Earth - I've seen it like years ago, but from what I can remember it was a very well done, weird movie that used his not stellar acting abilities and somewhat otherwordly appearance in a very clever way

that's one hell of a difficult question - but Life On Mars is the one I have the strongest emotional link to.

Me and my closest friends were huge classic rock buffs back in high school (Lou Reed's death was another hit for me :(). We were weird, lonely kids who listened to weird music and read weird books. It wasn't horrible like you see sometimes in silly teenage movies, but we were definitely oddities in our little provincial Italian high school, the kids nobody invites to the nice house parties. And David Bowie was just...one of those people who were living proof that yes, the lives our parents were pushing us towards weren't everything - that there could be more - that one could be, in fact, weird AND happy.

Life On Mars was our anthem for neverending summers spent working odd jobs, smoking pot and going to the beach at the hour in which everybody is going away, and I haven't listened to it in years but I bet I would remember all the lyrics, even if when I learned them I didn't know English well enough to understand them.

...I am actually getting a little emotional now damn

I'll just use this thread to complain about people mixing up the different versions of fairy tales for those "OMGZZZZ UR FAVORITE FAIRY TALES WERE GRIMDARK AS FUUUUUCK BEFORE DISNEY" articles, and using Grimm's Aschenputtel interchangeably with Perrault's Cendrillon.

Not until this summer. I'm sure someone will leak the livestreamed video at some point, though.
