I should be in Japan for at least another year (and probably longer)!

So if you do ever visit.
(I should note that no matter the season, hetalia events are pretty frequent if you're into doujinshi and so on! Aside from the biannual comiket too, but if you are into a wider share of pairings you'd probably find something you like no matter the season.

Also I'm not sure if it was this way before, but cafes are very frequent all of the sudden! Also there was a bar that would host an event but it got cancelled.. Ah well, point is there's always something hetalia going on if you look for it.)

This year was the first time I lamented having to miss a Hetalia day. I wouldn't even know how to arrange a meet up in Japan, I don't know enough english speaking fans haha.

(I hope it would be longer if so!! ahhhh)

(yES I REALLY WANT TO TRY APH doujin events and especially Comiket... which also seems scary to me BUT DOUJINSHI... THAT I'D HAVE THE MONEY FOR..... also it'd be nice to support the artists especially any few Giripan artists that go because it's been so lacking lately wEH.... and god knows my ship list is neverending when it comes to both APH and my other fandoms anyway SO YES I'd be sure to find a ton ;3;/ and also would want to support artists from my smaller fandoms/less popular otps in general ahh)

(THE CAFES TOO ANIMATE CAFE LOOKS SO CUTE ALL THE TIME and I have multiple "popular" fandoms where that seems to be a thing now [LOOKS AT DIGIMON, SAILOR MOON, ETC. PARTICULARLY because classics] so I'd definitely also look forward to them!! ;3;/ ;3;/)

ALSO DON'T EVEN TALK ABOUT HETALIA DAY ~~that the original day of [Oct 24th] coincidentally also my birthday so wehhhh~~ but ahhh it'd just be so nice to meet up with any APH fans / other English speakers regardless I think... yes ;3;/

All I can say about Comiket is that it's not as scary as online guides make it out to be!

Honestly, after experiencing the full weekend a few times, those guides often are have sunday, the most popular day, in mind. (*cough*the hentai day*cough*)

If you're interested in Hetalia, more mainstream fandoms (popular BL fandoms), basically anything that isn't primarily filled with a very hentai oriented fanbase you frankly don't need to show up on the sundays. (Which is where all the EXTREME crowds, smelly, etc. horror stories come from)

Comiket as a whole is very doable as long as you look up what you want to check out before hand. Unless you're going after a popular circle you don't even need to come in so early, so no hour long outside waiting either. Just keep in mind the event ends at 4, and many circles will sell out by 1 or 2 (earlier if they're really popular).

(AND IF YOU LOVE DOUJIN YOU WILL LOVE JAPAN.. ITS ALL SO MUCH CHEAPER WITHOUT RESELLERS AND PROXY PARTIES IN BETWEEN. Visit Mandrake as well, so much doujin that's just 200 yen most of the time.)

(AND OH GOD THE CAFES ARE SO CUTE. I keep having to drag uninterested people with me cause I'm too shy to go alone, haha. But man the namja town one was great, such cute food.)

(ALSO THEY ARE WHY WHY CAN'T I GO TO EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM FOR MY FANDOMS THEY'RE TOO CUTE ;3;/) but eheh yeah I understand being shy to go alone weh, kinda my thing right now... like I think I'd be fine at the cafes actually because they're fun but going with others is more fun so! but if I did go on my own it's more being alone in Japan as a whole is a scary thought then the more fun places in Japan I'd be at if that makes sense p-pfft (out of the country/not fluent in the language with no one you know being nearby [especially if something goes wrong] basically) (getting back to the original topic, WHAT IS ADULTING what is travelling on your own to another country etc. etc.)

thought I wish I had a stable job so I could just definitely find a home of my own instead of being always nomadic and sharing houses with other people, it's very annoying being an adult with contracts to sign and bills to pay on one side and having to be an eternal university student on the other

I don't know how I'm going to manage living on my own. I'm sure I'll end up someday just going to work and coming home to nothing day in day out, never doing anything interesting. I'll be even more of a shut in than I am now.

Of course the other part of me knows this is silly and of course I'll do stuff. But will I have enough money? All the jobs I'm looking at are low paying, and most of those even are temporary, lasting a few months before I'm right back with my parents, searching for a new job. When will it end?

Not participating in LJ-based Hetalia exchanges when they were still a thing (History Swap etc). I wasn't confident that I would be able to deliver in the specified time. But I think that I could have done it.

Not getting the idea for Nordipalooza at least a year earlier than I did. It would have been fun to run it when things were super-active on LJ (though probably would have been CRAZY).

Probably some other things I haven't thought of, too....
