Birthday boy

Lmfao so me and my family went out to a restaurant tonight and the waitress told my dad he looked like a particular actor. Now, my dad's been told he looks like this actor several times before, so he laughed and jokingly asked if she wanted his autograph. She got really excited and apparently seriously thought my dad was the actor, and ran to get her phone to get a photo with him. She was so excited I couldn't believe. She probably still thinks she waited on a celebrity tonight. Lmfao.

Lately I really want something where England is a Stereotypical Sexy British Villian.

I want him to be super mean and arrogant and gloat over his victory and also wear a very nice (a villain-y sort of nice though) suit while doing it.

Preferably the victim/vanquished hero is definitely not a submissive type, and talks back a lot during evil!England's obligatory Stereotypical Villain Speech.

Which means punishment, of course.

I was going through my folders earlier this year and found old Kingdom Hearts WIP text file, that I have no idea what the fuck I was thinking when I started writing. I started them during that trend (if anyone was in the Kingdom Hearts fandom in 2007-2009, will likely remember) of grimdark Organization 13 fics describing various missions of theirs, and this mission was set in WWII in the real world. So Nazis and Pearl Harbor and the atomic bombings... thankfully it never got past me writing down a bunch of snippets.

BOY HOWDY. Take your pick from my WIP File of Purgatory:

- The Hetalia/SnK mashup where Hanji roughs up a private who has an uncanny heal time; I think I kind of just lost the thread on this one. I want her to beeeeeeeeat him uuuuuupp. D:
- The Hetalia one where the early 19th century fucking SUCKS for Denmark (I do want to try and rework this into a different angle, 'cuz I like what I have); needs more planning, more structure, more everything
- The Hetalia one where Norway raises baby Iceland and marvels at humanity/non-humanity; it....doesn't really have much of a story arc? Child development just happens (or doesn't) and Norway is all passive and metaphysical. Which. Isn't much of a plot.
- The Ace Attorney one where Klavier waits out one seriously creepy week at his parents' home with his brother while they wait for their mother to come home for Christmas; I can't think of a way to make the suspense effective because Kristoph being a creepy murderer/Klavier walking away unscathed is already a foregone conclusion. How the fuck do I shot horror?!
- The Sound Horizon one where the leader of the slave rebellion goes to jail a lot because he may be very very angry, but he is also shit at planning rebellions; not top priority research, didn't shape up.
- The Sound Horizon one where god teaches an exquisite dead guy to do his stage makeup; still not a plot.

......wow, looking at this, I can kinda see a pattern. Structure? Who needs structure.

I have a really weird Hetalia fic set in the very far future in which humanity has colonized space and it's all very Star Trek-y (I was on a ST:TNG binge at the time) but for some reason the nations as we know them still exist in some form. Or at least some of them. Sort of.

And the emphasis was on like, the Nordic union in particular being very good at navigation/exploration (like, er, space norsemen, except without the pillaging?). And Norway himself hasn't been seen in a while, he basically fucked off and nobody knows where he went. But the Belarus-Ukraine Collective hired some dude named Ola Nordmann to find them an uninhabited planet suitable for a particular terraforming project and my, isn't he mysterious....

And it was going to end up with Norway/Belarus on some weird alien planet.

ANYWAY the reason I never finished it was... it required too much plot and too much patience and this is waaaayyyy outside my area of expertise. And also too much AU even though it's technically not an AU if we're going to get, like, pedantic about it.

There are a lot of other wips too (apparently at one point I was going to write Switzerland/Norway? With gun kink? But I didn't get very far) but that's the one that sticks out the most.

Well, that's technically true, but I don't know what anyone has to gain from it. Ship who you wanna ship, and who cares if some ancient blog post said something that can be interpreted as "Sweden is gay". When has anything like that stopped anyone before?

Huh, honestly I had no idea this was a thing. Like I remember stuff was sold off during the revolution, but I guess I didn't think about what that meant today.

Do people seem to use twitter more than tumblr? I don't have a twitter so it's hard for me to gauge
