Tumblr used to have an issue where you couldn't unfollow deleted accounts. They just stayed there forever. Which doesn't make a difference to your browsing experience but some people found it annoying to see deleted accounts stuck in their follow list forever, so at some point Tumblr changed it so that deleted accounts eventually automatically leave your follow list.

You kind of have to be able to parse dense purple-prose regency sentences to really get it--my ap english class couldn't, I think I was the only one who laughed all the way through when we read it--but if you can it's so worth it. You could easily update Catherine to a modern setting, reading the tropes from her her favorite ~paranormal romance~ or ~shoujo animus~ onto her boring life, haha. Plus Austen snarks at her own protagonist, at the readers, at people who don't like novels... it's a little gem of a book.

Kinda related but I have this problem with Sweden{s tags, where I wonder "what would Sweden say?" and then I go read the manga and his response are usually thoughts or "Nnh" and I'm like WHY SWEDEN WHYYYY

Basically what anon above said, but give your rp partner something to work with. Don't be like a wall for them to rp at, rp with them.

Sweden and Egypt are basically the exceptions though. You can make up for it by having him do engaging actions, which you already do, or rambling when the thread involves written communication.

When in doubt, you can give Sweden's thought processes in brackets and give some kind of physical manifestation of those thoughts so your rp partner can pick up on his thoughts and respond to them without resorting to telepathy. Like if something startles him, Sweden can drop something he was holding or whatever, to use a blatant example. Things like that.

goddamnit i just want a majority 20+ fandom community SOMEWHERE, with people who are not over-sensitive, not political, and not prone to making harsh moral judgments on what other people like or don't like to imagine in their goddamn fucking IMAGINATIONS.

and this isn't a hypothetical question; in all seriousness, if you know of such a fandom, or such a fandom space, or even a particular niche like the anon meme within a certain fandom, please do recommend it to me. i'm not keen on fandoms that deal with real people/real events (even if it's in the past) but will make at least an effort to try out any other kind of genre.

harry potter was my go-to fandom for the longest time. then fullmetal alchemist. kingdom hearts for a bit, and a fairly long stint in gintama. then hetalia.

i haven't ventured into tv fandoms and book fandoms in forever, i'm wondering if that's where the more mature and accepting fans are. like i've read some enjoyable and kinky hannibal fics, and i cannot imagine that when your main ship involves hannibal freaking lector that anyone's got much of leg to stand on wailing about ~problematic!!!~ to each other. so that's where i'm planning to poke around next.

but sadly i do not watch a lot of tv. haven't even watched hannibal, to be honest. i read a lot, but unfortunately not books that have fandoms, and tbh not even books that (imo) would be enhanced by fandom since usually it's not a series and there's not a lot of open space to be explored by fanon/fan creations.

i'm hopeful perhaps there's a low-key slashbaity book series out there that has a fandom as kink-friendly and perverted as certain sectors of harry potter fandom used to be (anyone else remember pornish_pixies and the wonderful assortment of crazy "problematic" kinks that abounded there? good times, good times...)
