Ha! I kinda had one (not knowing the specific trend) back in high school and college, I had a Fruits Basket messenger bag that I covered with nerdy pins, then graduated to a few more messenger bags and finally a backpack. The pain mostly came from wearing a messenger bag for too long, I still get sore even if I only wear it one day...

Don't think I would make another one these days, I got a little tired of clanking everywhere I went and being known as That Girl With All The Buttons. I keep some of my favorite pins and buttons on a corkboard at work, though ;3;
