i really don't understand tumblr "pedophile" discourse about fictional characters

especially when it's not even "pedophilia" but just age gaps, because apparently even that contributes to "pedophile culture", as if younger girls and guys can't ever prefer older men and women, even though they obviously can and will. but if they express that, that makes them a contributor no matter what
