Really? I'd say it definitely still counts as horror, though I could see how it would fit into the fantasy genre or psychological drama or even kind of historical drama as well.

A lot of stories aren't perfect fits into any one genre, or can fit into multiple genres, but that doesn't mean they don't belong at all.

To me, it doesn't contain nearly enough horror elements to classify it as a horror film. It's more of a dark historical fantasy with occasionally scary moments than anything. But not horror, at least to me.
