part 367 bears and wolves oh my
YOU DID IT, I'M SO PROUD OF YOU. Well, it's been a year. I hope it was a good one for you--and that 2018 is even better! And maybe we'll finally get that fansub of even one of the musicals... just maybe.
Enjoy part 367!

(Anonymous) 2018-04-07 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)but yeah, they really dropped the ball with the third one and anyone could see that. i was probably imagining it but i felt like the entire theater got up with this big wave of awkward disappointment.

(Anonymous) 2018-04-06 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)I can see why people are like wtf with this, it's very over the top and frequently unintentionally (...?) hilarious, but I kind of love it. I am probably not supposed to view it as a comedy, but just thinking "sticks for hands" makes me already smile.
Think of it as Shakespeare's Tarantino phase.

(Anonymous) 2018-04-07 10:22 am (UTC)(link)I. Had no idea people despised this film...? My English professor showed it to the class since it was the Shakespeare play he chose as the required reading for that particular semester. (He did not want to teach Romeo & Juliet, because he thought it was over-taught, and "that's not the only flipping thing he wrote, jfc") I recall he said he wanted us to decide for ourselves if Titus Andronicus really was Shakespeare's most gratuitously violent work, and while I did find it quite violent and gory, I. Don't think it was gratuitously violent?? (I could go on for ages about how the violence contributed to the play's major themes and the general feeling of the atmosphere of the work...
anon is a huge f*cking nerd fjdkljaf;) And it was definitely funny, but in a dark/black, gallows humour sort of way?? Definitely not for everyone, but fits perfectly considering the sorts of characters in it, as well as the...rather intenserevengeplot.Lavinia sure showed those f*ckers, eh?! She had no hands and they still died like the wretches they were, take that! anon is petty and vindictive and Lavinia deserved BetterTM fjkdlajf;OTL
Re: minor tealdeer as anon has Feelings about this
(Anonymous) 2018-04-07 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)To me, the entire thing plays as dark comedy and I like to think the campiness and over-the-top theatricality was intentional. But even with all the silly melodrama, the very ending scene with the music and the baby and walking into the horizon genuinely touched me.
