Romano wants Germany's car...

Romano making out with Germany in his car.

Romano always makes them drive to secluded locations because he wants to keep whatever they're doing a secret. Romano determinedly refusing to think of it as a relationship but Germany thinks they're boyfriends. Germany becoming increasingly confused and hurt by the whole situation and Romano feeling like a bigger and bigger asshole as he realizes that he does actually like Germany a lot and his hilarious textbook understanding of what relationships should be like is actually right for once. Romano freaking out because Germany confesses that he can't do it anymore if it's going to be like this which results in Romano screaming the truth of their relationship for the whole world to hear.

if germany's hurt by that, just wait until the potato-tomato fights start

or the cuisine fights in general

like germany slaving away over a german cake or recipe or what have you for a lovely dinner with romano

and romano freaks out at the gesture and starts to insult germany's cooking as a reflex

Oh noooooo! I could see Romano freaking out at himself as well because WHAT IS HE DOING?!?! but he can't stop himself so as he sees Germany getting frustrated with him and disappointed, Romano just starts eating as much of the food as he can. Like, how else can he show that what's coming OUT of his mouth is a load of defensive crap except by putting loads of what he's badmouthing in there?

Germany: ...You don't have to eat it if you don't like it.
Romano: No, shut up! I'm gonna!

It's like that meme where person A makes person B a friendship bracelet and person B is like wtf???? but then refuses to ever take it off.
