YOU DID IT, I'M SO PROUD OF YOU. Well, it's been a year. I hope it was a good one for you--and that 2018 is even better! And maybe we'll finally get that fansub of even one of the musicals... just maybe.

Enjoy part 367!

Dice kickstarters: :O What are those?

I feel like fantasy pin making has just gone down the toilet in the past year and a half. Too many people jumping in the game, too many people stealing artwork especially from Disney Japan artists, lack of quality control, and so much pin cost inflation. And it's gotten to where you could once expect fantasy pins to be STUNNING quality, , whereas now the people making them don't know WTF they're doing when it comes to ordering direct from a Chinese factory and you get terrible line-work, wonky colors, etc. Part of the reason I started with fantasy pins was because they looked better than a lot of official Disney character pins. Now... not so much!

SORRY THAT GOT LONG

What kinda official pins do you collect?

The last one I threw money at was this one. All those pretty colors... ;;A;; I just can't help myself.

And yeah, I can totally see that happening with custom pins. My friends and I all do custom pins too and, at least in my circles, artists are very protective of their sources. Pin making is such a labor intensive process that factories get easily overwhelmed. And it's become so popular that once a good source is outed, they get swarmed and quality goes down.

I mostly collect Disney and Blizzard pins. I actually had a pin trading board at my artist alley table at Anime Expo, and quite a few people were interested enough in it, I might start doing it regularly.
