It's time for the 31 Days of Meme Halloween! A month of ghouls and ghosts and nightmare monsters! A month of dastardly Halloween discussions, petrifying Halloween picspams, and as always, scary streams.

Today's theme: horror fashion! Horror can be found in the most unlikely of places--even on the catwalk! A surprising number of designers have found inspiration, both direct and just-vague-enough-to-count, in horror movies and themes, with bloody and beautiful results.

I'll be posting a few collections I found horrifically fun (along with some ready-to-wear items more accessible than runway fare) and please share your favorite horror/gothic/creepy fashion too!

The Blonds fall 2013 collection was called Slasher Sashay--for obvious reasons. Inspirations include Psycho, The Birds, The Shining, and more.

While a bit pricey, some of PinupGirlClothing's current offerings definitely hit that sweet horror spot! I mean, who doesn't want a dramatic red dress to wear while lounging in a pool after carefully stowing away the body of your latest failed Frankenstein creation? Or a dress with a print that screams REDRUM?

YOU KNOW WHAT I REALLY MISS... 90s goth fashion. Like the long, black, bell sleeves, crushed velvet, dramatic white makeup, lace lace LACE, chunky black platforms 90s goth fashion. I honestly can't find too many photos of this particular era/style of goth fashion.

this thread reminds me, I really need to revamp my wardrobe. I used to have a style.. not necessarily a GOOD one, but. Somewhere in the past few years I just started wearing plain shirts and pants out of comfort/laziness.

So I'm just guessing the names for the dresses but from left to right: Carrie, The Ring and Splatter House: Electric Boogaloo.
